Meet The Team

David and Jane, Linda and Doug have been in the dude ranching and hospitality business for nearly thirty years. Their down to earth dispositions draw in all who meet them. Customer service is their main priority and they work hard to keep guests coming back year after year. In addition to Rainbow Trout Outfitters, they own and operate Rainbow Trout Ranch, a first class dude ranching experience, that is perfect for the guests who prefer more inclusive accommodations than the tent camping that RTO offers.

The Van Berkums

The Owners

Spade Crawford

Spade got her start in the outfitting business at an early age. Her father owns Conejos Canyon Outfitters. She spent every spare moment of her childhood on the back of a horse in the mountains guiding. She outfits full time for a living, and has a special passion for archery hunting and pack trips. Wherever she goes, her blue heeler, Zip, will not be far behind. When you contact RTO, Spade is the one you will visit with to plan your adventure.

Lead Outfitter

Tyler McClayland

Outfitter

Tyler is a true horseman. He shoes horses and trains colts for a living. He has been helping RTO for over five years, and knows the mountains very well. He is a character to be around, and will keep you laughing all day. You are in good hands with Tyler.
